Privacy policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026
In short
Nuqta keeps your data on your own devices. It has no server, no user accounts of its own, no analytics and no advertising. Nothing is ever sold or shared.
Data Nuqta stores
Your tasks, focus sessions, focus scores, flashcard decks and reviews, mood check-ins, streak and settings. They are stored in a local database on your computer and never leave it unless you turn on sync.
Optional Google Drive sync
Sync is off by default. If you connect Google Drive:
- Nuqta asks Google for one permission only:
drive.appdata- access to a hidden folder in your Drive that only Nuqta can use. Nuqta cannot see, read or change any of your other files. - Copies of your Nuqta data are written to that folder so your other devices can read them. The data goes directly between your device and Google; it never passes through any server run by Nuqta.
- Nuqta shows your Google account e-mail address in Settings so you know which account is connected. It is not sent anywhere else.
- The sign-in key from Google is stored in your operating system's secure credential store (on Windows: Credential Manager), not in Nuqta's files.
- Google stores and protects that data under the Google Privacy Policy.
Use of Google user data
Nuqta's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The data is used only to sync your own Nuqta data between your own devices. It is not used for advertising, not transferred to anyone, and not read by humans.
Deleting your data
- Settings → Sync → Disconnect, with "Also delete Nuqta's data in Google Drive", removes the copy in your Drive.
- You can also revoke Nuqta's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Uninstalling Nuqta and deleting its data folder removes everything from your computer.
Network access
With sync off, Nuqta makes no network connections. With sync on, it connects only to Google's sign-in and Drive servers.
Children
Nuqta does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
